Products

We offer you three categories of bases

WR3 Matt Base

WR3 matt base is an entirely colourless product. Toner or special effects may be added to WR3 based on you requirements and desires

  • Adding pigments to WR3 base creates any of the tones in the RAL or NCS colour charts with a MATT end effect.
  • Adding special (chameleon)  effects to the WR3 base creates a basic chameleon colour with an iridescent effect of two, in some effects up to four, different colour tones on the same base with a MATT end effect.
  • Adding 1,5% of LIFORCE hardener to the WR3 base product, already an exceptionally resistant protective film, further improves its weather resistance and reduces the drying time.
  • The WR3 base needs to be diluted with from 5 to 10% distilled water, if we use a 1,7 mm nozzle.
When using a 1,3 mm nozzle, the dilution should be of 12-15%.
  • The more the base is diluted, the more less concentrated layers should be applied. In case of a very diluted base, at least 4 layers of coating must be applied, although, to achieve a better peeling off in the future, it is recommended to apply up to 5 layers.

AK5 Glossy Base

AK5 glossy base is an entirely colourless product. Toner or special effects may be added to AK5 based on you requirements and desires

  • Adding pigments to AK5 base creates any of the tones in the RAL or NCS colour charts with a GLOSSY end effect.
  • Adding special (chameleon) effects to the AK5 base creates a basic chameleon colour with an iridescent effect of two, in some effects up to four, different colour tones on the same base with a GLOSSY end effect.
  • No LIFORCE is to be added to the AK5 base.
  • The AK5 base needs to/may be diluted with from 5 to 10% tap water, if we use a 1,7 mm nozzle. When using a 1,3 mm nozzle, the dilution should be of 12-15%. One should keep in mind that glossy bases are somewhat less concentrated than the WR3 MATT base, therefore, the dilution will require a little more attention.
  • The more the base is diluted, the more less concentrated layers should be applied. In case of a very diluted base, at least 4 layers of coating must be applied, although, to achieve a better peeling off in the future, it is recommended to apply up to 5 layers.

AK20 Hyper Glossy Base

AK20 hyper glossy base is an entirely colourless product. Toner or special effects may be added to AK20 based on you requirements and desires

  • Adding pigments to AK20 base creates any of the tones in the RAL or NCS colour charts with a HYPER GLOSSY end effect.
  • Adding special (chameleon) effects to the AK20 base creates a basic chameleon colour with an iridescent effect of two, in some effects up to four, different colour tones on the same base with a HYPER GLOSSY end effect.
  • No LIFORCE is to be added to the AK20 base.
  • The AK20 base needs to/may be diluted with from 5 to 10% tap water, if we use a 1,7 mm nozzle.

All three of the base products above are water-based products, aroma-free or with a very gentle aroma, that are used primarily to PROTECT a variety of surfaces. All three base products create a colourless, almost imperceptible transparent film, and are available with three visual end effects:

  1. MATT
  2. GLOSSY
  3. HYPER GLOSSY

The bases are conceived and manufactured as a finished layer protective film – to further preserve and extend the product’s lifetime we have also developed two optional final coatings that further extend the lifetime of the film and of the original, protected surface.

With quality and professional application of the base product practice has shown that traces of peeling are not evident even after three years.

Pigments

The LIWREA product range offers 15 different base pigments

Combinations, i.e. precise dosages of individual base pigments allow us to create over 2,200 colour tints, standard to the RAL and NCS pigmentation systems.

Pigmentation, i.e. mixing is performed by one of two methods:

  1. Manually using a Web-based pigmentation interface developed as our core tool.
  2. Automatically using tinting machines we have developed in collaboration with manufacturer Hero, also offered in our product range.

Pigments in our product range are offered in three package sizes:

  1. 3.50 litre
  2. 0.75 litre
  3. 0.25 litre

When toning one of the three base products (WR3, AK5 and AK20) pigments are added in a 1:10 ratio, i.e. 10% pigment to the total weight of the base product.

Special effects

The LIWREA product range offers 12 basic powdered special effects (chameleon), of which 2 include a glow in the dark effect.

The special effects are intended as direct additives to any of the three base products (WR3 AK5 and AK20). They are added in a ratio of 10g per 1kg of base product, equal to once sachet of powder to one kilogram of base product.

The most frequent combination among these effects offer a combination of 2-3 colours, but there are three effects with an iridescent effect of 4-5 colours.

Protective coats

We offer two groups of protective coatings

AK Diamond

  • AK Diamond is an acrylic-based two-component GLOSSY product that is applied on surfaces treated with LIWREA products to improve the resistance of the surface protection. It improves scratch resistance and water resistance – salt water in particular (road salt in the winter, nautical applications).
  • The product is mixed in a 1:3 weight ratio, i.e. 33% hardener to 67% AK Diamond base.
  • It is applied as a top coat finish.

Preparation and removal materials

In this section we present three products used in the preparation phase and later for the removal of LIWREA protective film from vehicles or other surfaces.

Liclean

  • LICLEAN is one of the rare, if not the only cleaning and de-greasing agents used to prepare surfaces for the application of liquid film that is created not as a synthetic, but rather primarily as a water-based product.
  • LICLEAN is used to clean surfaces such as sanded primers, top clearcoat on vehicles, and to de-grease and remove traces of silicone on surfaces treated with silicone based polishing pastes.
  • LICLEAN has been developed as the optimum blend of powerful cleaning and de-greasing strength in combination with optimum evaporation speed. These characteristics make this product an absolutely superior cleaner of traces of silicone, even when compared with synthetic based cleaning agents.
  • LICLEAN has a very low 3% synthetic component and is easy to use. It is applied with cotton cloth moistened with LICLEAN cleaner.

Liforce 120

  • LIFORCE 120 is a hardener that can be used to improve resistance to demanding weather conditions and to reduce drying time, i.e. to speed up the formation of dry film following spraying.
  • It is recommended as an additive to the base product in areas with abundant rainfall and snow. It should always be used in nautical applications.
  • LIFORCE 120 is added in a maximum amount of 1.5% in relation to the weight of the base product. It is applicable to all three types of base product (WR3, AK5 and AK20).

Lirem

  • LIREM is a removal agent suitable for all three basis types, regardless of possibly added pigments or LIFORCE hardener. LIREM is a gelatinous, yellow fluorescent mass that acts on the protective base layer at the molecular level.
  • LIREM, as a protective layer remover, efficiently breaks the intermolecular connections between the protective base layers (WR3, AK5 or Ak20), while leaving the original protected surface intact.
  • LIREM is very easily applied by a simple cloth impregnated with the product which is then be rubbed in the surfaces treated with basis we wish to remove. It should be applied twice, separated by a  5-minute interval.

Pigmentation tools

Pigmentation, i.e. tinting is performed in accordance with two international standards:

  1. RAL (Reichs-Ausschuß für Lieferbedingungen und Gütesicherung)
  2. NCS (Natural Colour System)

Both standards are included in our Web-based computer interface, which calculates the exact amount of individual pigments required, based on the weight amount of the base product entered in the interface dialogue box.

This is a manual tinting mixing method and the interface only assists us in determining the precise quantities of the individual components (base pigments cited in section 2), that are then weighed with precise digital weighing scales and added to the base product. The base product and added pigments are thoroughly mixed yielding a final product of the requested tone ready for spraying.

Web-based application for RAL-NCS mixing and special effect colours

We perform manual mixing with the aid of a multiral web-based interface and precise weighing scales as tools to combine the base product with pigments and special effects

Programme interface on HERO machines

The other pigmentation method, automatic pigmentation, is performed using one of the MULTIRAL tinting machines we also offer in our product range.

The multiral tinting machines in our product range are HERO brand – we offer four models:

  1. Hero A100 1.7l (LIWREA product mixing machine)
  2. Hero A201 2.5l (LIWREA product mixing machine)

The machines are used in mixing various quantities of pigmented base product – 1.7l or 2.5l. They operate on the principle of colour mixers and pigment dispensers, drawing pigments from dispenser containers, and a software interface that calculates quantities and mixes the products.
